In 1986, Don Oakes, owner & operator of Don's Chimney Care, began inspecting, cleaning, relining & building chimneys in the Franklin County area. Since then, Don has expanded his coverage area and range of services.

In 2006, Don and his wife Teresa decided to merge Don's 20 years of experience in the industry with hearth product sales, service & installations. Don's Chimney Care & Stove Shop was born, and the Oakes moved from their home office into a new retail shop located at 113 River Road in Livermore, Maine.

Since opening the retail shop in 2006, the company's reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction has become known and allowed the business to grow at a steady pace. In 2008 we changed from Don's Chimney Care & Stove Shop, to Don's Stove Shop, Inc.; with 2 full time employees assisting with the delivery, installations and service. We continue our commitment to quality service by keeping aware of industry trends and changes while maintaining our training and certification needs.

Today our showroom has expanded to over 1200 square feet, we carry 10 different major brand names with over 50 display models including several working models. Don's Stove Shop, Inc. is based on the principle of customer satisfaction and we will continue to build our reputation in the years to come.
